Boosting Tool Life, Cutting Cycle Times — Now with SolidShop

At SolidCAM, we believe that the future of CNC manufacturing is connected, monitored, and optimized. Our recent visit to Dagesh Group in Israel is a perfect example of how this vision is becoming a reality.

We were joined by Zvika Friedman on this exciting trip to meet one of our largest and most advanced customers. Dagesh Group operates around 50 CNC machines, primarily HAAS and DMG Mori, alongside 12 SolidCAM seats. They specialize in producing large parts and complete assemblies, serving high-demand industries where precision and efficiency are non-negotiable.

Innovation at the Core

Dagesh isn’t just a manufacturer—they’re innovators. Their adoption of robotics on the shop floor has set new benchmarks in precision, throughput, and automation. And as power users of iMachining, they’ve consistently maximized tool life and drastically reduced cycle times.

Introducing SolidShop

During our visit, we presented SolidShop, SolidCAM’s complementary Digital Manufacturing Ecosystem, to:

  • Matan Franken, Production Manager at Dagesh F.K.
  • Doron Sashkis, key technologist and former SolidCAM Product Manager

From the first demonstration, it was clear—they saw the potential immediately.

SolidShop brings together three powerful pillars:

  • G-code Machine Simulation for accurate virtual machining checks
  • PDM & Shop Data Control for organized, traceable production data
  • Shop Floor Monitoring for real-time visibility into machine status and performance

First Steps in Digital Transformation

Our journey with Dagesh Group begins with connecting and monitoring four CNC machines through SolidShop. This integration will deliver instant access to live production data, allowing for smarter, faster, and more informed decision-making on the shop floor.

Why SolidShop Works

We’ve seen it time and again—when SolidShop is implemented, customers experience a tangible boost in productivity. The combination of tighter shop floor data control, real-time machine monitoring, and data-driven decision-making enables teams to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.

The future of CNC manufacturing isn’t coming—it’s here. And with SolidShop, it’s connected, monitored, and optimized.
