Strengthening CNC Innovation: SolidCAM and Mitsubishi Electric Team Up

SolidCAM is proud to announce the expansion of its strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Electric, a global leader in CNC control systems and industrial automation. This collaboration marks a major milestone in our shared commitment to driving innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation across the global manufacturing sector.

A Global Vision, Strengthened in Brazil

The SolidCAM LATAM team had the honour of hosting Mr. Keisuke Yamanaka and Mr. Thiago Caetano from Mitsubishi Electric Brazil at our facility. Their visit marks the official launch of a deepened collaboration, with a clear objective: to empower Mitsubishi CNC users in Brazil and across the globe with advanced, user-friendly machining technology.

This partnership originally began in 2023, when SolidCAM India introduced the powerful SolidCAM for Operators solution on Mitsubishi CNCs. Now, this global alliance is gaining momentum in Latin America, taking innovation to the next level.

Technology at the Core

Mitsubishi Electric is renowned for its high-performance CNC systems used across a wide range of machines, including:

  • Swiss-Type Machines from Citizen Machinery UK, Star Micronics, Nomura DS, and Hanwha Machinery America.
  • Milling and Turning Machines from Mazak North America, FFG FEELER, Veker, and more.

These machines now benefit from the integration of SolidCAM’s powerful CAM capabilities and SolidShop, our advanced PDM solution tailored for shop floor excellence.

Key Goals of the Partnership

The collaboration is not just technical—it’s strategic. Together, SolidCAM and Mitsubishi aim to:

  • Strengthen collaboration between global technical teams
  • Create educational content and hands-on training initiatives
  • Enhance machine connectivity via SolidCAM for Operators directly on Mitsubishi CNCs
  • Share knowledge through webinars, demos, and co-marketing efforts
  • Extend Mitsubishi’s API functionality to allow deeper integration with SolidShop, enabling real-time machine insights like axis temperature, sensor data, and PLC status

Driving Industry 4.0 Forward

This expanded partnership signals a larger move toward Industry 4.0—where machining intelligence, machine connectivity, and data-driven decision-making are no longer the future, but the present.

With real-time machine data feeding into SolidShop, manufacturers gain unmatched visibility and control on the shop floor, leading to improved productivity, uptime, and process optimization.

A Milestone for Global Manufacturing

This alliance is not just a win for SolidCAM and Mitsubishi—it’s a win for every shop floor and manufacturer looking to optimize their operations and embrace smart manufacturing.

From Brazil to India to global markets, we’re excited to keep leading the way in making next-gen manufacturing accessible, efficient, and intelligent.

Stay tuned as we roll out more updates, webinars, and demos in the months ahead!
