Benjamin Tan joins SolidCAM to spearhead growth across Asia Pacific

We are excited to announce the appointment of Benjamin Tan as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific at SolidCAM. Benjamin joins us at a pivotal time as we accelerate our growth and deepen our presence across the dynamic Asia Pacific region.

With more than 20 years of experience in leading regional operations for global technology companies, Benjamin is a proven leader known for building sustainable growth strategies and high-performing teams. His collaborative approach and deep understanding of the regional market make him an ideal fit for SolidCAM as we continue to scale our business.

Driving Regional Growth and Innovation

Most recently, Benjamin served as VP for Asia Pacific at Ultimaker, where he successfully built the company’s regional footprint and led cross-functional teams across Japan, China, South Korea, India, ASEAN, and ANZ. Under his leadership, the region saw strategic expansion and market development that laid a strong foundation for long-term success.

Before that, he spent over a decade at Dassault Systèmes, where he rose through key leadership roles, culminating as Director for the SOLIDWORKS business in ASEAN & ANZ. There, he led critical initiatives to help organizations embrace digital transformation, while nurturing strong customer relationships and local partnerships.

Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Graduate Diploma in Technology Management from the University of Washington. Beyond his impressive credentials, Benjamin is especially passionate about developing talent and fostering partnerships that deliver lasting value — principles that align perfectly with SolidCAM’s culture and long-term vision.
